Senior White - 6 vs. Tri-Town B - 12
WEEK 9:
Senior White - 31 vs. Clinton - 0
The boys were focused and came into Sunday's game knowing that destiny was in their own hands - if they win - they’re in. From the opening kick off to the final whistle Guilford was all business on both sides of the ball this weekend.

In the opener Guilford kicked off to Clinton who started on their own 25-yard line and the defense come out strong and held Clinton to a three and punt. On Guilford's very first offensive possession on the Clinton's 37 yard line - Eric Pasay with a great 37 yard run up the middle for a touchdown, blocked PAT 6-0, this was the score until early in the second quarter when Rick Cacapardo broke out for a 20 yard run up the middle for a touchdown; PAT good between the uprights 14 - 0. Guilford's defense lead by Ryan Sutowski clamped down on Clinton's offense for the rest of the first half; highlights include a 12-yard sack from Eric Pasay and an Interception from Kevin Acampora. Guilford's Offensive scored two more times on the ground in the second quarter behind a strong offensive line lead by John and Mark Lisitano, Bennett Lovejoy, Ian Rorke and Andy Wall. Offensively Jared Dillon scored on a 40-yard run for a Touchdown PAT good and a another Eric Pasay touchdown run for 20-yards. Guilford opted for a one-point conversion instead of a two-point kick conversion but failed on a screen pass attempt. 28 - 0 @ the half. Guilford made a lot of personal adjustments at half time to start the second half. A stingy defense gave up nothing, which included a Benett Lovejoy interception and two more big sacks one from John Lisitano and Eric Pasay. Guilford’s offensive played ball control the entire second half and opted to kick a 29-yard field goal by Mike Knapp instead of scoring a touchdown. Final Score; Guilford 31 Clinton 0.
WEEK 8:
Senior White - 0 vs. Tri-Town B - 32
Regardless of the final score the boys played hard and with a lot of heart for all four quarters, they never gave up! A big moral victory for this team. We can build off of this positive attitude this week in practice going into our final regular season game. In the opener Guilford kick off to Tri Town who then put together a long drive which ended in a touchdown, PAT was blocked. Then it look like momentum was swinging our way as Guilford took the kick off return and put together a nice drive as well but came up short on a fourth down gamble. Then Guilford's defense held Tri Town to a three and punt. Unfortunately for the offense we came up short again. This battle went late into the second quarter until some bad calls against us and costly turnovers just became too much for our defense to hold Tri Town offense down and they score twice in the second quarter but to the boys credit they blocked every extra point attempt tried. 0 - 18 at the half.

Now playing catch up in the second half Guilford abandon the run game and instead went to the air for most of the second half which prove costly for us on turnovers and gave Tri town excellent field position to score. At this point the game was pretty much out of reach for Guilford but they used this time to executed their passing game. Over all a very disappointing loss for the senior white team coming into this game we felt that we matched up quite well with Tri Town, but it wasn't meant to be this weekend.

Senior White - 14 vs. Branford A - 0
Guilford was victorious for a second week in a row this past Sunday with a win Branford Branford was forced to punt after taking the opening kick off three and out. Guilford Struck first with a Eric Passay 60 yard punt return for a Touchdown Mike Knapp PAT was unsuccessful missed left. 6 -0 Guilford. A defensive struggle ensued each team had their opportunities, but turnovers proved very costly for both offensives as each team struggled to move the ball. Three Minutes left in the first half Guilford mounted what look like to be a 55 yard scoring drive only to fumble the ball away on the 6 yard line recovered by Branford to end the first half.
Back and forth these two team went. Guilford had a couple of opportunities in the second half to score in the red zone only to be denied by costly turnovers. Branford tried to get something going and went to the air. Guilford's Kyle Mahoney Intercepted a Branford pass and on Guilford's next play from scrimmage Mike Knapp went 20 yards around the right side and in for a touchdown. The extra point kick made the final score 14-0, Guilford.

After a tough season opener loss to a powerful East Haven Team, Guilford Senior White put forth a valiant effort against a very good North Branford team. Offense was led by Quarterback Mike Knapp and running backs Ken Paecht and Rick Cacopardo running the ball behind an improving offensive line.
